报告摘要：Data Science and Stochastic Dynamics have been hand in hand from the time of Kalman filtering or data assimilation. The speaker will present an overview about recent advances in this disciplinary topic about Data Science and Stochastic Dynamics, including historical background, scientific motivation, current challenges, especially, (1) How to integrate principle-based modeling and data-driven modeling? (2) How to investigate stochastic dynamics from data with help of machine learning? (3) How to analyze machine learning algorithms using tools from stochastic dynamical systems theory?
