演讲者:  Prof. Luc Vandendorpe，比利时鲁汶大学

演讲者简介：
    Luc Vandendorpe教授于1991年从比利时鲁汶大学(Université Catholique de Louvain)获得博士学位，现在为该校通信技术、电子与应用数学学院院长(Institute for Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics)。他现为IEEE Fellow，并且担任EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking(SCI收录)的主编。他曾经4次主持完成欧盟第七框架计划项目，并且3获得最优论文奖。他的主要研究方向为无线通信与信号处理系统的优化设计，已经在IEEE汇刊上发表100多篇论文，累计被引用4000余次。

讲座摘要：
    The topic of the presentation will be the introduction to the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, Electronics and Applied Mathematics (ICTEAM) of the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL), Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.
After a general description of the University, ICTEAM will be described: the research areas, the experimental facilities, the impact on publications and on industry and the presence in the international community. A few success stories will be highlighted. Examples of research results transferred or to be transferred to industry will be discussed.
